Course Aims
In this session we will move on to look in more detail at the ways in which you, as an education expert can tackle sexism and gender stereotyping in your school.
We will apply our learnings about the whole school approach from part one and with the support of the Gender Action leads, you will identify an area of focus (e.g., parent engagement). From there you will begin to plan and write action plans and set goals to pinpoint how you will address this area.
At the end of this session you will have a clear understanding of the whole-school approach and the areas of focus that are needed in your setting. You will leave with an action plan and be one step closer to achieving initiator status for your school and demonstrating your commitment to tackling sexism in education.
This session will introduce the six Focus Areas and how to progress writing your school Action Plan.
